The Atatürk and Gallipoli Campaign Research Center was founded in the year 1992 as a part of the ÇOMÜ Rectorate. The purposes of this research center are:
- To research the military, statesman and revolutionist character of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Republic of Turkey.
- To emphasize the role of Atatürk in the Gallipoli Campaign and in the Turkish War of Independence.
- To collect, evaluate and archive documents written in Turkish and other languages about the Gallipoli Campaign.
- To present the documents on Atatürk and the Gallipoli Campaign to the international platform.
- To narrate the Gallipoli Campaign to new generations.
- To provide assistance to our youth when they visit the Gallipoli Battlefields and Military Cemeteries.
- To demonstrate under which circumstances the victory at Gallipoli was won by considering the circumstances of world powers and Turkey during that period.
- To make scientific colleborations with national and international universities about Atatürk and the Gallipoli Campaign.
